Heaven's kitchen opened up on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 and welcomed a new cook. The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 from 5:00 - 8:00 PMat Boone Funeral Home, Bossier City. A Celebration of Life Service for Clara will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the First United Pentecostal Church , 2833 Viking Drive, Bossier City. Interment will follow at Roseneath Cemetery. Clara was born January 3, 1944 in Many, LA to Jeff and Mary Byrd and passed away following a brave battle with ovarian cancer. She spent her years tenderly caring for her family and friends. Clara was an award-winning cook and loved to travel and spend time with her family. She was a faithful lifelong member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Bossier City. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Mary Byrd and her brother Wayne Byrd. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Harold Harvill. She is also survived by her children; son, Randall Harvill and wife Lasena; daughter, Rhonda Singleton and husband JP; daughter, Adrienne Stanley; and son Jason Harvill and wife Stefani. " Memaw" leaves behind twelve grandchildren, Jeremy, Jessica, Dylan, Alexis, Austin, Jamie, Blake, Shelby, Tayler, Jaydon, TJ, Hunter and she will miss her youngest son's new joy, Tristan, arriving next month. Also, her brothers Ken, Clay and Steve Byrd and sister Ruth W. Cox. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Rogers, Gary Whittington, Dennis Parker, David Parker, Roy Darnell and Daniel Darnell. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to her faithful friend, Bea Giddens, and the members of First United Pentecostal Church of Bossier City. Her niece, Brittany Cox, sends a special thank you to her "Aunt Flada" for being her second Mom. Also, many thanks to Jordan's Crossing Hospice and Shreveport-Bossier Hospice for their loving care.
