Jeremy Steven Cooper, beloved father, son, brother and friend, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at the age of 41 in Bossier City. Jeremy was born on October 23, 1976 in Tyler, Texas. A 1995 graduate of Magnolia High School in Magnolia Arkansas, Jeremy was an integral part of the Panther's championship '94-'95 football season, taking the district, conference and state runners-up titles. Jeremy enlisted in the navy in 1998. He served aboard the USS John F. Kennedy as a machinist's mate until 2002, achieving the rank of Petty Officer, Third Class. After an honorable discharge, Jeremy settled in Jacksonville, Florida, where he met and married Tricia Windsor. There his beloved children, Abby and Jack, were born. Jeremy moved with his family to Bossier City in 2008 to be closer to his extended family and to work in the oil and gas industry, where he continued his career until his death. Jeremy is survived by his children, Jack and Abby Cooper of St. Augustine, FL, his mother Pat Hinds, of Longview, TX, Ex-wife Tricia Cooper of St. Augustine, FL, girlfriend, Traci Lancaster of Bossier City, LA, two sisters, Robin Goss (Troy) of Longview, TX and Deanna Tipton of Texarkana, TX, one brother Aaron McClendon (Leighanne) of Deville, LA, two nieces, Autumn McClendon of Hot Springs, AR and Casey Tosh of Gladewater, TX, two nephews, Cale Chipman of Longview, TX and Dylan Tipton of Texarkana, TX. Others left to cherish his memory are a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A celebration of Jeremy's life will be held at Boone Funeral Home, 2156 Airline Drive in Bossier City, LA on Thursday, July 20th at 3:00 pm with Pastor Jeff Harper officiating.
