Mr. Neely was my very best friend for the longest time. I could talk to him about anything. I loved that he called me "Little Bit".
I once asked him, "What do you think you'd be doing (I was referring to career) right now if you hadn't contracted Polio?", and without missing a beat, he answered, "Standing."
What an amazing man he was! He was learned, had the greatest sense of humor, a beautiful positive attitude, a twinkle in his eyes, and a laugh that never failed to make me laugh, too.
I can't wait to see you again, my precious friend.
Until then, I will miss even the very idea of you.
