Please share a memory of Raymond to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Jewish graveside services celebrating the life of Raymond P. Winters will be 11:00 AM, Monday, November 18, 2019 at Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery.  Ray passed away quietly on November 7, 2019 at his home in Jefferson, TX.

Ray proudly served his country 22 years in both the Army and the Air Force. Through his military travels, he met the love of his life in Amsterdam.  Their first date was on the beach and every vacation thereafter was at the beach. This resulted in their favorite place to visit was the beach.   After his assignment in Europe, they returned to States and began their family.  Later in life, he worked in the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Supply.  Once he retired for good, Ray and Renee moved to Texas to be close to the water.

Waiting for him in Heaven is his wife, Renee; daughter, Margaret Winters; and numerous siblings.  Left to further Ray’s legacy are daughter, Thea Winters; grandchildren, Michael McGrail (Camilla), James McGrail (Melissa), Christie Winters, Sandra Schacht (Michael), Raymond Winters, Allie Cargill, Ashlin Cargill; numerous great-grandchildren, other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers Ray requested that contributions be made to The Humane Society or the Shriners Hospital in Shreveport in his memory.  He loved his family deeply and his six fur babies.
