Obituary of James Walton Stewart
Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
James (Jim) Walton Stewart, born September 7, 1965 in Frankfurt Germany, passed away February 2, 2016 at Willis-Knighton Medical Center.
Jim was an avid photographer with an incredible eye for beautiful landscapes and gorgeous flowers. Jim loved to cook which is great because his entire family loves to eat! Jim prided himself on being Alton Brown's biggest fan and would always start his cooking lectures with, "Well, AB says…" Jim loved to travel; a few of his favorite places included Ireland, Iceland and England. Jim loved technology and could find anything on Amazon and he'd be sure to get it quick with two day shipping!
Jim was a veteran of the Air Force and met his wife, Carra Lynn Stewart, at basic training in San Antonio, Texas in 1984. They married August 17, 1986 in Hannibal, MO. Jim and Carra have three sons, Jason Andrew, John "Craig", and Bennett James.
Jim is survived by his parents, John Walton and Carolyn Jean Stewart; his sister and brother-in-law, Sandy Jean and Daron Wayne Caswell; brother and sister-in-law, Jonathan Edwin and Toni Loraine Stewart; nieces, Kori Elizabeth Caswell, Kaylee Danelle Vreeman, and Mary-Margaret Alice "Poppy" Middlemist; as well as his wife and sons.
Services for Jim will be held at Boone Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA on Friday at 4pm. Calling hours for friends and family will be from 2pm-4pm. No graveside service.
