Mary was an accomplished pianist who shared her talent with others throughout the years and most recently for residents and staff at Pilgrim Manor. She loved the art of southern cooking and for many years she enjoyed serving the area through “Mary B’s” restaurant; she loved her social life playing cards and games with friends and was celebrated for her gift of painting. Mary had a brilliant mind which was reflected with her achieving a Notary Public in Louisiana among many other accolades.

I loved this sweet woman so much. She sat at the same lunch table with my grandmother for years. Her stories would keep our attention for hours. I loved hearing how she met her husbands and how proud she was of her children. She loved them so much. I know the reunion between she and her son had to be beautiful because his death was tragic to her and she still wore his watch. She was a concert pianist and could play anything from memory or if you hummed something, she would get it super quick. I am so saddened by her passing.
