Michael Langdon Matheney

of Shreveport, Louisiana  July 20, 1963 – October 1, 2019

Mike is preceded in death by his father, Herschel Dean Matheney.

He is survived by his mother, Billy Robinson of Shreveport, LA, his sister Sheree Evans of Harrison, TN, his brother Steve Matheney of Clovis, NM, and his brother, Richard Robinson of The Woodlands, TX.

He is also survived by the love of his life, Michelle Wallace and her son, John (Buddy) Herman II, along with many more nieces and nephews.

He was a proud graduate of Huntington High School in Shreveport, LA - Class of 1981. He also attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA and Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA

Mike enjoyed a long-time career in the sale of medical equipment, where he excelled at his job. It was often joked that he could sell ice to Eskimos. He started playing golf in high school and immediately fell in love with the sport, including a few tournament victories throughout his lifetime of playing. He was quite the charmer and all the ladies loved his eyes. He was known to watch a football game or two on the weekends, surrounded by friends and loved ones.

Towards the end of his journey, he selflessly took care of his mother, who also fought with cancer.

He will be deeply missed and most fondly remembered.
