Bossier City-Pauline Koller Davis was born in Bodenmais, Germany on November 16, 1924 the youngest of fourteen children. She left this world and journeyed into heaven on May 25, 2009 at home with her family. Prayer vigil will be Thursday at 6:00 PM at Boone Funeral Home with the funeral mass on Saturday at 11:00 AM at St. Jude Catholic Church with Father Rothell Price officiating. Pauline was orphaned as a child. Her thirteen older siblings parented her. During World War II, Pauline was a medical aid in the hospitals in Munich. Shortly after the war ended, she married Rexford Allen Davis, a sergeant in the US Air Force. Pauline and Rexford were stationed at various bases before their last transfer to Barksdale AFB, where she has lived since 1965. They raised five children and two dogs in Bossier City. Pauline was a stay at home mother who usually volunteered as room mother at her children?s schools until her youngest child was in junior high school. She enrolled in vocational school and became a Nurses Aid. Pauline retired from her ?second? career at Bossier Medical Center where she worked in the Labor Unit and the Newborn Nursery. Pauline enjoyed sewing, cooking, bowling, dancing, crocheting and Elvis Presley. In 1999, Pauline returned to the Catholic faith, where she met many loving Christians and developed a special friendship with Father Rothell Price. Together they traveled to Germany and around the United States the past 9 years until the decline in her health. She enjoyed the Ladies Guild and the Arts and Crafts group at St. Jude?s. Many people will miss her annual German Christmas cookies. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents Franz and Anna Koller; brothers: Hanz, Franz, Frederick, George, Ludwig; sisters: Nanna, Betty, Anna, Maria, Mina, Rosa, Teresa, Frieda; ex-husband and friend Rexford Davis. She is survived by her five children and their spouses: Chris Davis and wife Sandy Skinner, Ross Davis and wife Donna, John Davis and partner Brad Quillin, Eva Lynn Candy Davis and husband Bill Johnson, Tammy Baudoin and husband Luke. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Ross Davis Jr and spouse Kari, Paul Davis and spouse Amber, Heidi Davis, Pauline Keene, Patrick Keene, Travis Baudoin, Jordan Corpier, John Corpier and six great-grandchildren: Ross III, Alexandra, Mara, Jayden, DeShawn, and DeAnthony Davis and Special Niece Annamarie Kroner. She has numerous nieces and nephews in Germany and Texas and many friends in Bossier and Shreveport. Pauline was a generous person and a loving mother, oma and great-oma and friend. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is at peace and in heaven with her savior, Jesus Christ and looks forward to joining Pauline there one day.
