Prayers and SympathyNancy, Mr. Bill, Mrs. Peggy, and Leslie, I am the Jan Hughes that lived down the street from you when David, Wade, Leslie, and I were in high school. My mom sent me the obituary and I wanted to let you know how sorry that I was to hear of David's death. I will always remember him as being such a nice guy who gave me a ride to school every day. Even though he was the upperclassman, he never made me feel inferior. I am so very sorry that he had such a battle with ALS but what a testimony for you to say that "he passionately served his Lord." What comfort I know that gives you all that you will see him again in Heaven and that he is at rest with God now. My prayers are with you all.

Inspiration to our journey in lifeWe want you to know how much you both have touched our lives during our time in Lousisiana. I will never forget the first time I met you both in Sunday school and watched through the years as you both dealt with David's ALS. You both witnessed to me in away that noone else could and made me a better person. David's love for God during his illness never waivered and that spoke volumes to me. He will be truly missed by all. Your honesty and love for David and God also helped me to realize that no matter what God throws at you, that we can get through it with His help, even if we don't understand why things are the way they are. You have always trusted Him and kept going. We love and miss you and wish we could be there.

David\'s SmileOne spcial thing that comes to mind when remembering David, was that wonderful smile. It spoke volumes about his personality! His love of life, his sense of humor, & his love for friends and family, all were illuminated in that smile. So today and those future days when we think of our friend, we too will smile. May God continue to bless Nancy, Bill & Peggy and all the Adams.

SympathyTo the Adams family, You do not know me, but my mother passed away in 2004 after a very courageous two-year battle with ALS. Thus, I know from experience that you have probably taken the most difficult journey of your life. For me, my mother's death was a welcome release from the horrible suffering that she experienced, but that made her death no less painful. You and your family will be in my prayers as you mourn the loss of one that I'm sure you loved so much and as you begin the time of healing and rest that I know you will need after caring for your loved one. Like my mom, he finally overcame ALS and is healed in a way that we can only imagine. May God's grace and peace be with you during these difficult days. Blessings, Brook Boddie

David\'s smile!I will continue to keep the Adams' family in my prayers. You are such an amazing family and have always meant so much to me. I remember David always had a special way of picking on me and making me turn ten shades of red! I will also remember his great smile and personality and how when he could only communicate with his eyes, his personality and smile were still there - in his eyes. I'm so sad that David is gone, but so glad that he is whole again. I love you all, and Nancy, I don't know you as well as the rest of the family, but I feel that David was truly blessed to have had you by his side throughout this battle, but I also feel that you are blessed also to have become a part of the Adams' family.

Good-bye DavidTo your family I express my deepest sympanthy. I cannot imagine how sad you must be, but now we know that he is whole again and no longer in pain. To Nancy, you no longer have to watch him suffer and everyone appreciates the wonderful care and love you provided him. I know I do not want to see that struggle on his face again as I did on this past Sunday. He was a good friend and will always hold a special place in my heart. I will be remembering all of you as you try to get through your own pain and suffering in the days to come. I am so glad David is with his Heavenly Father with a new body and we will all see him one day!

HomegoingNancy, know that David is being welcomed by heaven's hosts, by the Father and the Son, and by those who have been waiting to see him again. He was an inspiration to everyone whose life he touched, and he will be missed immeasurably. What a blessing David was while he was shared with us on this earth! You are in my prayers as you go forward without him. I will always remember that David stopped in at SVIM just to see you in the middle of the day. The smile you gave him would give him what he needed to complete his day. May you be blessed with His strength during this time.

David is Home NowMy deepest sympathy to Nancy and the family. The one thing that will keep you going is knowing that David is home now with our Heavnely Father in a new body. He's not suffering any longer. David wouldn't want anyone to grieve over him, just to be happy that he's moved on. I knew David at Southwood, he was always nice and kind to me. That is how I have always remembered him. I am sorry to say that I did not get by to see him before he left. I will keep you all in my prayers as you deal with your loss.

SAYING GOOD-BYEI wanted to give my deepest and heartfelt wishes and sympathy to the Adams family. David was the bestest boss I've ever had. I worked for him for three years at M.D. Medical. I'm glad to have met him. He loved life and he loved and cared for people. He is a great guy and will be truly missed by all. May God bless the Adams Family and all those who knew and loved David. The world has lost a true loving and caring friend, but God has gained his Angel. Good-bye David, you got your wings.

Love to You NancyMy heart was pierced when I turned the page in the newspaper this morning & saw David's face there...pierced mostly because I didn't slow down more to glean from him. I have told people since meeting him that he has always been such an incredible inspiration to me. Nancy, you too inspire me. I have been blessed by your amazing love & patience, yet willingness to be honest in the midst of the pain...knowing you both has made my life richer. May I live in such a way to reflect even a small bit of the blessing that you've been to me. We will not be there Friday or Saturday, as we will be in Oklahoma celebrating my parents' 50th Wedding Anniversary. My heart will be with you. God's peace be with you, Nancy. And, David....thanks for teaching me what it means to serve.
