Shreveport-A Celebration Service for the life of David Ward Adams, 48, will be held Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 11:00am at Grace Community Church with Rev. Sione Tu'uta officiating. The family will welcome friends for a time of remembrance on Friday evening from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Boone Funeral Home on Meriwether Road.
David passed from this life on Wednesday, August 01, 2007, after a courageous battle, with ALS with his family by his side. He was a graduate of Southwood High ('77) and Louisiana Tech. His occupation was in orthopedic implant sales and healthcare recruitment. He passionately served his Lord and community as he loved life and helping others. His attitude and outlook were contagious.
David is survived by his wife, Nancy Treadwell Adams of Shreveport; daughter, Stefanie Maryé Adams of Shreveport; parents, Billy Ray and Peggy J. Adams of Hot Springs Village, AR; brothers, Mark A. and Gina Adams of Jackson, MS, and R. Wade Adams of Tampa, FL; sister, Leslie K. and Harold Carpenter of Franklin, TN; and seven nieces and nephews.
The family would like to offer their appreciation to David's caregivers, Sheila Hayes, Faye Cain, Jean Ashley, and Shaunta Renée Horton.
