To the Family
I would like to express my condolences to the friends and family. Losing someone we love in death is never easy, sometimes our close family and friends don't understand our pain. Fortunately, we have a loving God who knows exactly what we need, so turn to him in prayer because "God is love." (1 John 4:8) Also, "he is the God and Father of all comfort." 2 Corinthians 1:3,4

My first memories of my baby cousin, Shane, were when he was about 18 months old, toddling around our front yard with someone’s (I think it was Uncle Paul’s) cap on. He was a beautiful blonde and seemed determined to keep up with his older brothers, sisters, and cousins. He didn’t seem to think that being a baby made him any different really, from anyone else… and it didn’t. Anytime I saw him as he was growing up, he was always comfortable talking to me even though I was nine years older and we didn’t get to see each other often. He just had an easygoing and truly sweet nature. He was in fact, one of the sweetest people I’ve ever known, and I’m heartbroken to know I’ll never see him in this life again. I love and miss you sweet baby.

Dear family, I am sorry for the pain and emptiness of heart you must feel at this time. Death is certainly an enemy that take those we love leaving much hurt and a void that seems not to go away. Jesus Christ gives many promises that fill our hearts with a marvelous hope and give a brighter future. Soon Jesus Christ will call all those in the memorial tombs, they will hear his voice and come out. (John 5:28 & 29) Yes, the resurrection will be a reality on a peaceful earth with eternal blessings. Please read these promises from your BIBLE;Psalm 37:29, Acts 24:15.

Words cannot describe the sorrow I feel. Though years and miles have separated us, my love for Shane and the entire family will never cease. They are my second family. Shane, I love and miss you! My heart and prayers are with you all.

While there are no words or actions that will take away your pain, we hope you are surrounded by much love and support at this difficult time. Know that God cares about your grief and tears (Psalms 56:8). May the light from God's Word be a guide and comfort through the darkness of your loss (2 Corinthians 1:3,4).
