Obituary of Shane Alexander
Michael Shane Alexander, 50, of Bossier City, La. passed away on June 20, 2019.
A celebration of life will be held at Boone’s Funeral Home in Bossier City on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 from 11:00-1:00.
Shane was born in Shreveport, La. to Clayton and Sandra Alexander on May 13, 1969. He was a loving and devoted father. His family was his pride and joy and he reserved a spot in his heart for each and every member. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and kept them laughing with his endless amount of stories accompanied by his contagious smile. He loved spending time on the water and had a passion for cooking. Many may argue that they are the biggest New Orleans Saints fan around, but Shane definitely held the title of #1 fan. His friends have described him as the most incredible single father they have ever met. Always loving and kind, teaching his children a sense of pride and responsibility while being the constant beacon of stability in their lives.
Shane is survived by his daughter Lyndsey Chavez and grandson Monty Morgan, son Michael Alexander II and daughter Sarah Alexander. Father, Clayton Alexander and wife Donna, Mother, Sandra Alexander and Russell Shelton. His five siblings, Clayton Alexander Jr., Kelley Payne and husband David, Tammy Dantin, Chance Alexander and wife April, Kendall Maxey and husband Mike.
He is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews, Lydia Michael, Lindsay Payne, Hunter A. Payne, Sadie Forester and husband Zach, Madalyn Alexander, Alessandra Simone Dantin, William Dantin V, Will Alexander, Mason A. Briggs, Madison Maxey and Michael Maxey.
Along with six great nieces and nephews, Hannah Michael, Matthew A. Michael, Emma Payne, Greyson Forester, Vincent A. Payne, Olivia Forester.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked for contribution to be made in Shane’s name to American Diabetes Association.
