A Wonderful LadyFor those who don't know me, I'm Melanie - Carol Perkins Jensen's daughter - who was in turn Ora's sister, Bennie's daughter. I just wanted to let you know that Ora's passing is a source of grief for us even though we are unable to attend. Due to distance and some personalities I haven't ever had much contact with this side of the family. In an ocean of silence even a small sound is a welcome one and ever so much appreciated. Great-Aunt Ora would always respond to my Christmas cards and occasional letters. Because I love all contact with family members I saved her notes. As I was looking through them I realized that my grief wasn't for Aunt Ora but for myself and you - her family and friends. She loved the Lord and is most certainly with Him now. But for us - who loved her as well - the parting (however short)is difficult. She was always a blessing to those who knew her and showed that kindness in small ways that touched my heart. Because of this I could not just send flowers I needed to let you who loved her as well know that - even as far North as Utah - this wonderful lady is missed deeply. Sincerely Melanie Whitesides

For those who cared for herThanks to all who helped care for Ora, during the trials of her life and in these last difficult days. She appreciated all your kindnesses, visits, notes and caring. She remained the elegant, informed and thoughtful lady throughout her life. All who knew her will carry her memory and will be better for having known her.
