I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Mable and J.R. were friends of my mother and father, Pete and Mildred Williams. I fondly remember her working at McCrory's and her and J.R. driving around in those little cars they had. I was just talking about them the other day.
Please know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Gayle Williams Smith

My Grandma was the most genuine person I have ever known and I feel so honored to be her grandaughter.
One of my favorite memories was spending time with her during the summer as a child. We would get up early and she would get ready for work. I loved to watch her put her makeup on and pull her hair up in a net,I thought she was so beautiful. Off to work we would go to McCroys. I had so much fun exploring downtown and just hanging out. I loved to watch her work, she was so friendly to everyone and her customers loved her. I counted the minutes until luchtime when she would make me one of her famous grilled cheese sandwiches and a delicious milkshake served with a beautiful smile and lots of love.
Oh how I will miss her.
