To Brenda and the Pitts "Band of Brothers";
Candace and I send our deepest sympathy and regards to you and your families for the passing of your Father.
I really didn?t know your parents very well but do know that my Dad respected him and thought very highly of your Father and never spoke negatively about him from his United Gas/Pennzoil working days.
In thinking back, I shared very different life experiences with Stuart, Farrell and Kelvin and although different in kind the memories I have from our younger days reinforce the fact that both of your parents were loving and dedicated to raising their family as best they could in the Pitt?s ?way? to become successful in your own right, to be good citizens of the community and to honor the Pitt?s name in various ways and means.
The fact that your Father has donated his body to science only exemplifies that he believed it was more important to give to others than to receive which is a virtue in and of it self especially in today?s world.
I will do everything in my power to be in the Shreveport on January 15 & 16, 2012 to share in the remembrance and celebration of your Father?s life celebrate your father.
Kelvin ? I will see if I can find us a few 8 oz. Miller Pony?s for old time sake!!
