The Final Salute
“Brothers and Sisters in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.
This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Mrs. Ola Mae Mills a loving U.S. Air Force wife who provided dedicate service to her country, her community and her family. To her family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Ola Mae. To Ola Mae it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank her for her devotion to her husband, her family, the U.S. Air Force and her country. Only a military wife knows the difficulties and great sacrifices associated with rearing a military family that relocated frequently and often included long separations from the one they loved most and anxious moments of concern for their safety. Ola Mae, we bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at ease. Rest in Peace.
On behalf of the military veteran Legionnaires of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion and the veterans of VFW Post 4588, we extend our sympathies and our condolences to Ola Mae’s family and loved ones.
