Barbara was known as Bobbie to her friends and family that she loved dearly. She was an outgoing person that never met a stranger. Until she retired she was a dedicated RN with Overton Brooks Veteran Medical Center. Tending to our heroes was a passion for her that she treasured dearly. In the spare time she loved to sew, tend to garden, travel, and ride motorcycles with partner in crime, T. P. Fowler. She was an active member in the Red Hatters, American Legion Auxiliary, Emmanuel Lutheran Church, local garden and book club.
Bobbie met and married John R. Walker, Sr. on June 1, 1956. From their union, four sons were born. Sadly, John passed before Bobbie.
Preceding Bobbie in death is her son, Timothy Allen Walker. She leaves behind sons, Terry Ray Walker; John R. Walker, Jr. and wife, Buapan, and William Edward Walker and wife Sonya; grandchildren, Terrance Raymond Walker, Charity Lynn Walker, Christina Ann Xenos and husband Lucian, Patrick Morrne and wife Debbie, Teresa Feno and husband Steve, Casey Hem; long-time companion T. P. Fowler and his daughter Melissa Flores; and many other family members, friends, and co-workers.
Bobbie lived life on her terms and enjoyed every minute. She loved dearly and in returned received love from all who had the privilege and honor of knowing her. Her legacy will continue for many generations.
